Bell Gorge

Nestled within the untamed Wunaamin Miliwundi Ranges Conservation Park, Bell Gorge unveils its captivating waterfall, enchanting bushwalking trails, and abundant birdwatching opportunities. These awe-inspiring folded rock formations took millions of years to form, adding to the gorge’s natural allure. Although I failed to see all the bird life. the Gorge itself is more than enough to make the journey well worth the effort.

Bell Gorge

During the wet season, a magnificent torrent of water cascades down the waterfall, creating an ideal spot for a rejuvenating swim. Don’t forget to bring your camera, as Bell Gorge proudly boasts one of the most picturesque and breathtaking landscapes in the entire Kimberley region. Located approximately an hour’s drive off the Gibb River Road’s four-wheel-drive track, east of Derby, Bell Gorge eagerly awaits adventurous travelers.

Capturing shots of Bell Gorge can pose a challenge during the bustling winter peak season when tourists abound. However, if you exercise patience and fully immerse yourself in the wonders Bell Gorge has to offer, you’ll find that those merely seeking an Instagram photo will eventually depart, leaving you with your opportunity to capture the essence of this remarkable place.
