Jacky Winter

The Jacky Winter is a small bird native to Australia, typically found in woodland and forest habitats. It measures around 13 cm in length and has a distinctive gray-brown plumage, with a white belly and throat. The bird also has a black “V” shaped bib on its throat and a white eyebrow. Given how close they get, it does allow you to completely blur the background with lower aperture settings.

Try to anticipate their movements and adjust your camera settings accordingly to capture their movements. If you have tie down ropes in camp, they will come and sit on them, providing a great opportunity to start shooting.
