Taronga Zoo, Sydney

Peacock

On a visit to Taronga Zoo here in Sydney, right at the entrance was this magnificent peacock with his massive tail feathers on full display. He was prancing around for several minutes on this day, and it gave me a great opportunity to take some images of him.

From the brilliant almost electric blue of his body, through to the lush green in his tail feathers, this Peacock makes a superb subject for a photographer testing the sharpness of a lens, or for the simple beauty of the art it creates.
