Outback NSW Lizards

Another adventure to the NSW Outback after another long lockdown, and this time wildlife was everywhere we looked. This trip more so than the last featured many native Australian animals, and in particular, lizards.

We saw many lizards on the roadside and stopped many times to try and catch them, not always successfully, but a few of these little critters allowed me to approach and get some images.

Outback NSW Lizards

From Goanna’s to Shingle Back Blue Tongue Lizards, we saw them all everywhere we looked. The prize was the little 15cm long lizard with orange and teal colouring that was snapped under a bush in Menindee Lakes. He allowed me to get fairly close with my Sony 70-200mm lens, but eventually ran off at a very fast pace.
