Image Description

In the middle of January which should have been the peak of summer, I landed in Alice Springs during a very unusual cold period where it was only 21 degrees Celsius, and rain was flooding the Todd River in the middle of town.

As we drove further out of town for sight seeing at Simpsons Gap we came across this flooded area which was covering the road as well as the fields of many farm lands around us. This was not how the Northern Territory was supposed to be!
